WARNING: this entry addresses world issues

Here are the facts:

In no way do I support George W. Bush... haha, that man makes me 4 different kinds of angry.

I am by nature left-winged or a democrat.

I also am not a war monger... if the people of the world could come together in peace and love, if everyone would suddenly drop their weapons and raise their hearts, I would be so sublimely happy. (but let's be realists for a moment)

Here is my opinion:

I constantly hear people talking about the war in Iraq and my family certainly complains about the whole ordeal plenty. So, because I refuse to get sucked into a world of political frustration, I always thought I just agreed with my family. However, I recently came to a conclusion: I am for the United States occupation of Iraq. I believe that WHEREVER there are people being supressed by their government or terrorists, someone should stand up and say "NO". What is the good in us being the most powerful nation in the world if we don't help our fellow man? I don't think we're doing a good job of helping EVERYONE, for instance: the Genocide in Darfur, but hopefully we will soon. Despite a horrible leader, I believe the United States will always have a good heart.

I quote Jewel:
We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing

That's all
