Just got back from Orientation at HOFSTRA U.- My new home away from home. It was SO FUN. Traveling up there, I kinda got lost somewhere in "Five Towns"(this city in Long Island) but New Yorkers are actually pretty nice and whenever I got confused, I could just ask someone in another car for directions. "Of course, it's awesome to meet new people and its cool how you can be whoever you choose to be in a fresh enviorment but I feel kinda weird because I started thinking, what if people don't see me as my happy/outgoing/spontaneous identity here. But then I remembered it's not what other people think about you that makes you yourself, you know who you TRULY are. So I guess what I'm really scared about is...what if I'm not that person anymore? Everyone faces this. And it will feel weird to act as you usually do without your usual people around you, you might not even be sure how. But you'll figure it out and in the end, you'll still be who you truly are but different b/c you will have experienced new things and grown. You'll still be you, you have a strong personality. You will be fine.
