Today I am thoroughly ashamed to be living in the Netherlands and I would like to distance myself from any cultural gatherings currently taking place in Amsterdam. The annual Sinterklaas-party/Black-Face-extravaganza is happening as we speak. Literally thousands of Dutch people are carrying out their offensive anachronistic and pre-modern charade in the name of tradition.
Thousands of black people are out protesting but they are being kept out of sight by the Police in case they offend anyone.
