I actually think most Americans don't get flu shots. They're advertised a lot if you go to some grocery stores or Wallgreens, but I don't think most people get them. I've had them a few times when in college (specifically since getting the flu during final exams or bowl season would be pretty terrible), but haven't had one in years. Granted, I do seem to get the flu every other year or so without the shot.

I loved the irony of people trying to deport Piers Morgan because of what he said. Granted, a number of people "think" they know what the Constitution says and don't understand that most/if not all of it's protections (like freedom of speech) are given to EVERYONE and not just citizens.

Please remember, we're all not crazy here. Most of us are sane. :)

I honestly think it differs according to the state. When I live in GA it seemed everyone got one. Personally I found it absurd that people even considered it flu season when it was 80 degrees outside.

I feel sorry for Piers. I wouldn't fancy having a terrorist group like the NRA bad mouthing me. It makes me curious if security around him has been tightened.

I have been to the US 10 times, traveled to 14 states and lived in 2. I promise, I know that it's the crazies that make the noise.

Flu shot takes 2 weeks to kick in. So yeah you can still get the flu after the vaccination. Anyway anectdotal.

It's not crazy to want to keep yourself from getting sick. I get mine annually. We see lots of positive flu cases who skipped the vax.

I agree on guns.

I eat healthy and take care of my immune system and I have never gotten flu.

So I agree, it isn't crazy to want to keep yourself from getting sick.

Mass hysteria about immunization IS crazy and a honestly believe flu shots are a hoax, but placebo's do have their benefits.

Believe what you will but I am first in line for the flu vax. Don't get me started on people who don't get their kids vaxed.

Well, you wouldn't be allowed to get vaccinated against flu here in Europe and neither would your children. Whether the vaccinations are a hoax or not, we save them for vulnerable people who need them.
