The Cover girl makeup

Dec 03, 2010 12:27

I cannot be the only one who desperately wants whatever makeup the models display in their final cover girl ads.  I loved the fruit spritzers lip gloss from some time ago.  I hate the falsies mascara...it  clumps like no tomorrow.  Any of you rush out to get the makeup too?

I don't wear Covergirl anymore... I may have been using TruBlend around the time it was Kahlen/Naima/Keenyah, but I can't recall if that's why I bought it.

I'm fond of the Fruit Spritzers, but haven't tried any of the others, I think. Did they feature the Shadowblasts? Those look so sketchy.

They've got a 1.5 / 5 on MakeupAlley. Apparently they crease like no tomorrow.

The shadowblasts are terrible! Don't waste your money.

they do crease, even with a good base. i put on a really good concealer, a base, and lightly applied it, and within a few hours it was all in my crease.

Falsies is from Maybelline. Cover Girl is Lash Blast.

I just looked up Lash Blast reviews and it seems to get overall really good reviews. I've even seen it as a featured beauty product in several magazines.

I use the Fusion version of it myself. I've liked it so far.

I have the yellow tube version of Last Blast. It's not terrible. I have yet to find a mascara that I really really like. Except Revlon made one and then discontinued it. But other than that...

Covergirl tests on animals and knowing that, I can't use their products because it gets on my conscience :\

(But tbh, it's hard to pick out which brands are bunny approved because they're probably owned by a larger company that DOES test on animals or they claim they don't test on animals because the finished product is not tested on animals, but it is tested along the way.)

I'm glad that 99% of my products are on that list (aka mostly MAC). Some of my other products aren't on the list, but their websites say that they don't test on animals. Although that website does list vegan as one of the requirements =p

I've often thought about trying out some of them but I haven't as of yet.
