On Cracked.com I've been a reading a story called
If The Internet Suddenly Disappeared by Gladstone (a columnist on Cracked). It's a fictional journal set in the year 2013, where the Internet has failed and the consequences that followed. So far there has been 6 entries and each part links to the next. Being satirical, it's quite exaggerated but it still makes you think. It's very funny and quite thought out. Each entry deals with how people coped without the internet with certain topics like social media, porn, politics (especially the left) and other stuff. I'm really looking forward to the next installment.
There is also a Cracked article called
5 Reasons Why Pop Culture is Run by Fanfiction by C.Coville. Very self-explanatory and very interesting.
