My New Year's Eve
Happy New Year to all my flist, new and old. I have put up my new Doctor Who 2011 calendar and looking forward to seeing what the year has in store. It's nice to start the New Year by making new friends.
I had a quiet one last night, watching the Nobel Peace Prize Concert and Graham Norton's New Year Eve special. I enjoyed them both especially Graham Norton as it was very funny. The strangest thing though was seeing Barry Manilow singing Copacabana at the Nobal Peace Prize Concert since I thought there was no way he was going to sing it and he did. He even wore a sparkly jacket!
My boyfriend came over around ten o'clock and we unsuccessfully failed at watching The Eleventh Hour since he can stop talking. I told him that he was like the Doctor that sometimes he doesn't know when to shut up, not that I was really complaining. He also gave me a back massage but used this vibrating back massage device that a friend gave me for Christmas last year. I was happy to see in the New Year with Aidan and I hope to catch up again with him soon. He had to go home after midnight because he was working today at Ikea.
I don't really make New Year resolutions but in 2011 I want to write in different fandoms starting with Merlin (I started a kink meme fic today) and I have an idea for a Doctor Who fic. The idea involves combining WW2 with the Future, like what they did in a Christmas Carol. Set in the future but had elements of Victorian London. So yeah I hope to see where it goes.
