Sherlock and NaNoWriMo

1. Totally loved the first two episodes of Sherlock which aired on Sunday and Monday night in Australia. I loved how Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis has brought Sherlock Holmes into the 21st Century and how Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman portrayed Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. I especially loved  Sherlock Holmes though, who was odder than in the novels. I can't wait for the last episode which is on Sunday and definitely buy it on DVD.

I've always been a Sherlock Holmes fan but on/off over the years. I was first introduced in primary school when our class watched the Hound of The Baskervilles but it was totally different than the novel, which I prefer. Though in High school we watched the Granada version with Jeremy Brett in the role and was totally closer to the novel. I own lesser books than I've read of Sherlock Holmes since I borrowed from the library instead. I don't consider myself to be a purist like some as I enjoyed the 2009 film with Robert Downey Jr. I don't mind people retelling stories or even setting it in the 21st Century.

2. I've signed up for NaNoWriMo as topgeargirl2 so to get back into writing.
