1. Team America: World Police

Before Trey Parker and Matt Stone settled on the final plot for this film, one of their original ideas was to do an all-puppet version of Armageddon (1998/I). They had been given a copy of the script and thought it was already funny as was; but thought that if they were to make it into an all-puppet movie; then it would substantially funnier. The main reason why this idea never came to fruition was because of legal problems with the studio who owned the rights to the film.

I also love this bit of trivia:  In the song "America FUCK YEAH" the word "Fuck" is used 37 times

2. Monty Python and The Holy Grail

Some major scenes scripted, but never filmed: - additional "Knights who say Ni!" scene, they intend to call themselves "the Knights of Nicky-Nicky" - additional police detective scenes - several scenes where Arthur and the knights meet "King Brian, the Wild". - After the Bridgekeeper, they come upon the Boatkeeper. "He who would cross the Sea of Fate Must answer me these questions twenty-eight!" - Arthur and his knights end up finding the Holy Grail at Harrods' department store

3. The Producers: 2005 version

This is a movie about a play based on a play about a play based on a movie about a play. In fact, however, Mel Brooks originally envisioned this as a Broadway play. Published accounts in 1966 reported that Brooks was working on a comedy play with the title "Springtime for Hitler," and his original choice for the part of Bloom was going to be Paul Anka.

4. Monty Python’s Life of Brian

After the first take of the scene where a nude Brian (Graham Chapman) addresses the crowd from his window, Terry Jones pulled Chapman aside and said "I think we can see that you're not Jewish", referring to Chapman being uncircumcised. This was corrected in subsequent takes with the application of a rubber band.

5. Monty Python’s the Meaning of Life

The bizarre "Find The Fish" sketch was filmed in the main control hall of Battersea Power Station, London. It was supposed to represent the weird dreams that we all experience from time to time. Terry Gilliam later expressed his regret that this aspect wasn't given a little more explanation.

Also I love this trivia: Graham Chapman opens the door to Death and is the first person to speak to him in one sketch. By eerie coincidence, Graham Chapman was the first of the Monty Python team to die.

6. Thank You for Smoking

No one is shown smoking a cigarette throughout the entire movie. In fact, except in the black and white film that Naylor watches, no-one is seen even holding a cigarette. Naylor holds an empty packet and Robert Duvall holds an (unlit) cigar.

7. Hot Fuzz

At a Q&A session following a screening of the film in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Edgar Wright revealed that the film featured disguised cameos by two Oscar winners: Cate Blanchett and Peter Jackson. Jackson appears as the Santa Claus who stabs Nick Angel through the hand during the opening montage, and Blanchett appears masked as Angel's ex-girlfriend who is a Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO), which is the Metropolitan Police's term for an officer who collects and processes forensic evidence at the scene of a crime (roughly analogous to a CSI).

8. Van Helsing

While fighting with Van Helsing at Notre Dame cathedral, Mr. Hyde hits the bell and yells "Oh! the bells! the bells!", a reference to another classical movie monster, Quasimodo, in Lon Chaney's adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel "Our Lady of Paris".

9. Johnny English

The Johnny English character is based on a cowardly, incompetent spy played by Rowan Atkinson. The character, with his assistant Bough (then played by Henry Naylor), first appeared in a series of television commercials for Barclaycard.

10. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

This is the ninth version of the "Hitchhiker's Guide". It has previously appeared as a radio series, two record albums, novels, a television series ("The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy" (1981)), a computer game, a stage show, a comic book, a video game (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (1984) (VG)) and a towel.
