Top 5 Funniest Men Who Make Bad Movies I Enjoy
Well after I saw Be Kind Rewind, Semi Pro, and I Think I Love My Wife this past month I realized I really enjoy shitty movies. The movies these 5 guys make are usually pretty bad but I laugh and find them entertaining. I hope everyone has lists like these whether it’s music, TV, movies, or anything really. Sometimes you just can’t explain why you like crap but hopefully this helps.
5. Jack Black
I find Jack Black extremely charming. I can’t exactly put my finger on it but I always like the characters he plays. He is great when he is the sidekick like in High Fidelity and Saving Silverman. He is also fantastic as the lead in The School of Rock and Nacho Libre. Shit, I was even entertained by The Holiday and Tenacious D the Pick of Destiny.

4. Chris Rock
He hasn’t really carried many movies on his own like the other guys on the list but I love him none the less. I think I love him for his standup and that is probably why I can put up with the truly crappy movies he puts out. I Think I Love My Wife was probably the best one to date. Down to Earth was actually funny and Rock was pretty charming. Even Head of State wasn’t that bad.

3. Martin Lawrence
I loved Martin Lawrence when I was younger. His TV show was so funny and of course I am one of the biggest fans of Bad Boys in the entire world. I would have to say I enjoyed all of his movies from 1995 to 2003 but I must admit I have not seen anything of his since then. It’s not so much that I don’t think he is funny anymore it’s that the movies he makes don’t look all that good anymore. I am intrigued by Roscoe Jenkins though.

2. Will Ferrell
Semi Pro was my most favorite Will Ferrell movie to date. I love Basketball and I have grown to love Ferrell so it was a perfect fit. The Basketball scenes were really funny. I think with Ferrell it’s more the characters he plays than the movies he is in that I enjoy. Jackie Moon, Chazz Michael Michaels, Ricky Bobby, Ron Burgandy, Buddy, and Frank the Tank were all really funny characters. The one movie I really loved above the character was Stranger Than Fiction, really good movie, really good.

1. Adam Sandler
He has always been my favorite funny man all the way back to Saturday Night Live. He makes fantastic stupid movies for example Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Mr. Deeds, and Little Nicky. He also has his good for the ladies movies like Spanglish, 50 First Dates, and of course The Wedding Singer. As you can see there is something there for everyone. Also, everyone in the world should see Reign Over Me. I didn’t particularly like Punch Drunk Love but I thought Sandler was good in it. It’s hard to pick a movie that he couldn’t save in my opinion, there is one but it’s tough.
