Raw Ramblings - 10 / 11 / 2004

I know there's dozens of message board sites out there for wrestling fans, & most of the people that are part of this community probably already have their own source for wrestling-related opinions. If they're wrestling fans that is. If they're not, then none of this will matter.

- Of COURSE it wasn't live... it would have to start at 2 am if it was live, which makes it insulting to the viewer's intelligence to flash the "LIVE" logo at the top of the screen ( ... )

You gotta admit though, that spear on HBK looked deadly 'cause Shawn wasn't turned the proper way. I think Edge getting booed is the stale thing. No one's seen anything new out of his character since his childhood love of Hogan came to the forefront a couple years ago. That turned out great didn't it?

As for TSN editting out things, yeah it's pretty ricockulous. It's like watching old GWF footage, they go to stock crowd footage. I hope SpikeTV says, no thanks TSN, you pre-empt us when we have an exclusive contract. You can do a simulcast sure, but if you're going to pre-empt us, we reserve the right to show it on SpikeTV.

I'm not on the anti-Edge bandwagon. I still like him. He hasn't had the five-star matches he used to have on Smackdown, but that has a lot to do with the fact that he's been hurt and he's not wrestling Kurt Angle anymore. If he can get healthy, and stay healthy, he'll get back to doing what he can ( ... )

It doesn't matter if he's been gone for a year. The man is not stale, the character is. While he was away the 'world' within the WWE changed somewhat, and when he came back he just wasn't relevant anymore. I don't want characters to change quickly, but if it's not working anymore, it's not working. Turn him into a vengeful heel and have him fued with a beloved babyface so he WON'T get cheered for his heelish tactics. Use the whole "I never got a title shot" gimmick. Use the fans booing of him when he was trying to be a babyface. Turn him into a miserable badass that everyone loves to hate. I think he can do it ( ... )

Please tell me that at least one other person was pissed off that Regal didn't get to keep that win. Regal's one of the most unappreciated guys on the roster, despite being a good friend of Trips. Well, actually, I think most everyone appreciates him, but they show him no love crowdwise. Hopefully the buzz for him this week translates well for him in the future away from his homeland.

I didn't watch this week. It was a tag title match, right? If it was, I'm glad they didn't win because he and Eugene shouldn't be tag champs because they haven't been chasing long enough. There's a lot of potential teams on RAW, and I'd like them to concentrate on the division like they used to.

Not that it will ever happen.

Reading this & seeing your Top Five WWE Tag Teams list makes me wonder if you're from the future.

well, I thought about it.... they should have let him go over. The booking in the WWE is more retarded than Eugene sometimes. Here's what they could have done ( ... )
