Angel Season 4
Wow, talk about your hardcore TV marathons yo. Andy lent me Season 4 on Thursday night, & here it is, Saturday night & it's done. 22 or so episodes, done. BAM bitch! Sorry.
The first two thirds or so whizzed past so damn fast, because it was so good, so dark, loved it. From what I've heard of Buffy Season 7, it's pretty dark too, & I'm looking forward to it. I'll be sad that it's over, but at least it will have a proper ending.
I have already seen the final episode of Angel (as well as the hilarious puppet episode), so I knew all about the big twist at the end of the fourth season. There were definitely some down arcs in this season, but thankfully they're near the end.
Some of the storylines got a little bit ricockulous, outta control, etc., but after the roller coaster the season puts you through, I'm not going to complain too loudly about it.
My two favourite lines in the entire season both belonged to Angel. "Come on, I'm holding your HEAD!" & "Personally I'm cheering for the slave." When you see them, you'll know what I'm talking about.
My favourite episode for the fourth season was "Spin the Bottle," although a word of warning. It's funny & you'll probably want to watch the commentary right after seeing it. DON'T, the commentary is for people you've see the entire season already. I made that mistake dammit!
One more season to go, both for Angel & Buffy. My year long DVD set watching is nearing it's completion. A year ago today I'd never watched a full episode of Angel or Buffy, so I've done some hardcore crammin' yo. I'll be sad that it's over, but now I can at least think about going back & getting every set so I can watch them over & better understand everything.
