blah-ville, population 1
pretty boring weekend. not having much money will do that to a girl.
i got an alamo gift card for christmas and i should use it. plus poppers sound good. think i'm going tonight to catch either sin city or sahara. scantily-clad naked women or hot matt mcconaughy? thinking i might be in the mood for oogling over mr. hotty.
had my first test at school on friday. didn't do as well as i hoped (read: perfect score), but still think i made an A. apparently every friday will be a test day. yuck. but we did get out at like 3pm, so i didn't have to deal with too much traffic, so i can't really complain. tomorrow in class we're going to make fruit tarts. that should be fun with decorating the tops with the fruits just so. i like that.
talked to a guy that plays the upright bass for a local rockabilly band and he invited me to see them play last night at the carousel. but you know me, i can't stand going to a club by myself, so i opted to stay home and watch a movie. today i'm kicking myself for not going because he seems really cool and we enjoy a lot of the same music, movies, etc; i could have made a new friend. darn this terminal shyness.
the movie i watched last night was me without you. really good chick flick kind of thing. followed a friendship from the mid-70s through 2000. one of the girls had one of those relationships with a guy where they were just never on the same page at the same time. but in the end, they were on the same page finally and lived happily ever after. aah. that'd be nice one of these days.
oh and for all you napoleon dynamite fans out there: alamo drafthouse presents the rolling roadshow free movies in the park showing of napoleon dynamite on may 26th. that's gotta be so much fun to see it with 100s of people. i'm marking my calendar now.
