My camera got sent off to the fixer-upper centre today since it's still under warranty. This is awesome since it means I don't have to spend $200 getting it repaired.
An ALP backbencher is challenging the right to patent genes. It's an interesting topic I think most people haven't considered at all, really. But it does raise some important questions: as we make more breakthroughs with technology and things get more intangible, who ends up owning it? Because someone will always want to own it.

I'm guessing most of YouTube, not to mention many Asian-colonisedcountryians will get behind them. But I'm also guessing that they're not going to get an amazing amount of screen time, nor are they going to win since that's the way things are with commercial television.
