Revisiting my ark-building thoughts...
It is storming again which I rather enjoy as long as I'm inside and there's a window involved. In my weird performance photo class my professor managed to out weird himself yet again. Today we watched a variety of films. The ones that stand out in my mind the most are the ones that possibly qualify as soft-core porn.
They are as follows:
film 1: Two women are shown making out/licking each others various facial parts for about 15 minutes. The audio consists of some sort of call-in radio show having nothing to do with it.
film 2: A pregnant women is laying down and a midwife looking person is fingering her while a man (presumably the father) watches. The audio for this one is an unrelated dirty story about a nun's sexual escapades with another nun. At the end of the story that same nun decides she's not a nun anymore and has sex with the priest. This was also between 10-15 minutes long.
I think the definition of "art" is used too carelessly. That or maybe I just really resent the concept of 70's performance art as having real merit.
Either way, I'm ok with watching vagina for 2 hours since I got an A on my paper. Our grades consist of 2 papers so this is 50% of my grade. My next paper in there is 10 pages but the prompt seems much more concise so I don't really mind. For this one we are basically comparing and contrasting 2 artists' work.
I don't really have any other news except that my roommate was watching Nascar yesterday, ew. Also, she's been cleaning again, this combined with the five hair products she uses each morning is wearing on my senses. Such a foul, girly smell that hairspray is.
