I only got about an hour of sleep last night, because the cat got sick.

Mattie has a tendency to get crystals in his urine, and it's crazy dangerous.  A cat can die within 24 hours from it.  And whenever you tell a vet what's going down, they panic like you're trying to murder your cat and make you come in and spend $600 on Xrays and treatments ( Read more... )

This past weekend was spent finishing the first draft of our lovely employee handbook.  Saturday I let myself sleep way in (11AM) and then didn't really get started until 1PM, cause a girl's gotta eat, and do dishes.  I paid for it Sunday when I worked for 15 hours straight, finishing at 2AM last night.  I am not entirely sure that what I wrote in ( Read more... )

Mattie's sick.  Nothing is ever good in the world when he's sick.  It's been about three days.

I am insanely proud of the compliments I've been getting on how beautiful Ada is now, as if I had anything to do with it other than feeding her and loving her and making sure she didn't shred the entire contents of my house during the chewy-kitten phase (we're past it now, and I am thankful.)

I think Ada is sick.

I also think it's my fault.

When Ada came home for the first time, she had a little issue with digestion.  I assumed it was nervousness in being in a new place, and figured I'd give it time.  And it did get better-ish.

It wasn't completely better, however, and so I started to blame the Wal-Mart food that the breeder had sent me ( Read more... )

-pumpkin cookies

-mashed potatoes

-any furbs or hairballs that may happen to be lying around on the floor before I get around to vacuuming them
