British driving ~

Maximum speed on motorways is 70. (Allegedly ;p). Built~up areas hover around 30/40 mph.

No one goes on the M25 (which is the 'ring road' around London) if the don't have to due to massive congestion.

We have oodles of islands (traffic already on the island has right of way), traffic lights and generally lots of roadworks everywhere which are coned off!

There are also lots of ruddy cameras everywhere which snap you if you're going over the speed limit even by only a few miles. Fines are arond 50 quid plus points on your licence *grrrrr*.

Otherwise, driving here is just fabulous ;p!

Check out the Highway Code site for further info on signs etc
