I'm back...
...did you miss me? Considering that until about the middle of November I wasn't really a regular poster here though, I'm figuring not. lol
Anyway, between drama involving the in-laws, an unexpected visit from my parents that lasted a few days, and Windows XP crashing on me, I haven't been able to keep up with my flist, let alone post anything. It feels like I've been gone for a long time instead of just a few weeks. I gave up on catching up on my flist when I hit skip 300 and still hadn't found where I left off, so if anyone's posted fic in the last 2 1/2 to 3 weeks and I haven't commented, that's why. Eventually, I hope to catch up on at least the WIP stories I was keeping up with, but the ficlets and drabbles and such...I may never be able to track down all those. :-( I'm going to try though, but given some time constraints I have to deal with right now, it's not all that likely.
On the up side, my parents gifted me with a 160 gig hard drive. O.O To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I knew I was getting a hard drive from them, but I had no clue it'd be that big. The one I previously had was 40 gigs, and all my dad would tell me was that the new one was 'a little bigger'. Uh, yeah. Just a little. LMAO Now mind, if my mom had said that, I would have at least considered the possibility that she was just trying to throw me off, but my dad...really doesn't do the whole teasing and throwing off thing when it comes to presents.
So here I was, gift in hand, ready to open it and telling myself to only expect a 60 gig drive so I wouldn't be disappointed. (I'd been hoping for at least 80 gigs, with an outside possibility of 120 gigs...160 gigs never even entered the picture, lol.) Then I opened it and saw how big it was, and blurted "Holy fuck,"...with my parents video camera rolling, no less. (Keep in mind I hardly ever even say 'shit' or 'damn' in front of my parents, even though I'm 32...LMAO So now my shock is forever immortalized, and my parents will be bringing up my colorful use of the English language for a long time to come. LOL I really couldn't care less though, because hello? 160 gigs! *bounces*

Okay, so that's what I've been up to the last few weeks. As for what will be happening, after I get things loaded back on my brand new hard drive from the 25 odd CD's of mp3's and pics and programs and stories and stuff that I managed to salvage before Windows completely died on me, I'll finally be ready to start posting that long Spangel human AU I've mentioned a couple times now. So yay! *is nervous about it*
