I get pimples on my inner labia around my period. I've gotten them for years, I've been checked out by the gyno, they're nothing but pimples. If I would leave them alone they wouldn't be a problem.
Of course, I can't leave them alone. It's a zit. They can be very satisfying when they pop, even though they are, of course, completely disgusting. This month's zit was particularly awful. (No pictures. I'm going for the old school storytelling.)
Just a little hard lump. I squeezed it and a little bit of pus came out. The appropriate treatment at this point was a good shower and a dab of antibiotic ointment. Not so much. I kept poking it. And squeezing it. The pimple became angry. It grew. When I peeked at it (cell phone selfies for the win!), it was developing a dark purple-black spot in the middle where it was bruising. It should have been ready to pop.
But it didn't. I had first started fucking with it last Monday - that's the fifteenth. The damn thing wouldn't pop. I tried squeezing harder. I dabbed on the ointment. I took a long hot bath. Yesterday, I was getting desperate. It was sore and tender, and the black spot was getting bigger.
Today, I decided it was time for it to go. I got a bowl of scalding hot water and started applying compresses. It was awkward to try to get just the zit and not the read of my vulva, but the heat felt very good. After a little while the zit seemed to have softened, so I tried squeezing again. Nothing doing.
So I thought for a minute. If this was on my face I would have reached for the tweezers or a pin, but this is my vulva, thank you very much! So instead I tried gently scrubbing the top with the washcloth that had been the compress. That seemed to help. I kept up the compresses and scrubbing for about ten minutes.
Then I squeezed again.
The most amazing sound came out, a squash-splurt-blast-boosh sound. Suddenly there was pus and blood all over my hand. The pus was a rather disgusting color of yellow-gray. Some of the blood was red and thin, but there was more blood that was darker and thick - probably the stuff that was making the black spot, the stuff from the squeezing bruise.
And even better, the whole zit? was gone. No real trace. There is a sore spot on my labia, but it feels like the whole pimple is gone. Now I just need to let it heal and not start this over!
