The post below reminded me of something that happened a few nights ago. I was just watching some good old adult swim and it was a commercial break at the moment.
Here I sit mindlessly watching when one comes on where a drunk looking girl staggers into a bathroom, drops to her knees and start retching and heaving into the toilet. The noises were really realistic and it immediately made my fight or flight mode kick on. Thankfully, they did not actually show anything flying out of her mouth.
Now, the commercial was for drug awareness, and she was puking up what looked like old nostalgic items. at the end there was a tagline that said "you aren't the only thing getting wasted" or something like that. Honestly I was too disturbed by the feigned vomiting to pay too much attention to the message.
And there were two rounds of her heaving D: god, I wish I had thought to use the mute button or something. after the first.
Anyway... guess what i'm trying to say is, did anyone else see this commercial and have the same reaction? or are there times something similar has happened? I also remember staying over at a friends house, she fell asleep and home movies was on TV, and a scene cut to the coach waking up in his car in the middle of nowhere and him randomly spewing everywhere. I panicked and woke her up really fast to get her to change the channel cause I didn't know how. P:
And I've always wondered why AFV or other funny videos shows include clips of people vomiting. D: I don't understand how it's funny at all.
