my vagina hates me
so about 2 weeks ago, i posted about how a round of antibiotics for a sinus infection cleared up my vaginal itching. i also mentioned that i hoped that the antibiotics didn't give me a yeast infection.
well.... the itching came back with a goddamn vengeance. not just external vulvar itching, but also right at the entrance to my vagina was red, raw, and itchy. so i bought the 1-day monistat treatment, put it in at around midnight, and then went to bed.
i don't know if the one-day treatment is too strong or concentrated for me, or if i'm allergic, but holy god i reacted badly. the instructions say "you may experience an increase in itching and discharge"....
uh, try "HOLY SHIT MY VAGINA'S ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!" about an hour after insertion, i went to the bathroom and did what any woman whose vagina was on fire would do: donned a latex glove, stuck my finger in, and scooped out the offending medicine.
not only did i scoop out a bunch of white cream, but i also scooped out bloody chunks of what i think is skin. i'm having to wear pads right now because i'm still bleeding. not heavily, but still. it's not my period, because i had JUST finished my period when the itching came back 3 days ago.
so it looks like i'm going to have to go to the gyno after all. i'm going to have to wait until at least monday, because i have to work today, and i don't know when my days off next week are.
