Most of the time, I am like the least avant-gard person I know. The last three "cultural/technological/whatever" trends I was at the beginning of were all Joss Whedon related stuff, and I don't even watch Dollhouse anymore.
(Well wait..there was Torchwood...)
So I just got an iPod touch, because I didn't want the phone part. Too bad it doesn't come with the camera or the GPS either, but still...daaaaamn man. Clearly, this is the zeinith of our civilization. If we all died tomorrow and space aliens sifted through the remains, they would obviously be impressed with us simply by dint of this little geegaw from California!
And I got into Pandora. And because of Pandora and my new "buy in iTunes from the frakkin device" iPod Touch, I've gotten big into MC Frontalot and Nerdcore music. Which is all like "Yeah, why don't you mail that back to 2005 when we might have cared."
