Ah, it's so nice to be out of school and into summer, where atrophy is the name of the game. I gotta remember to get my Precalculus book from Luis so I can start all of my review for Calculus II this coming semester. And Joe (Big), being as it is that you have experience with tutoring math, are there any points you think I should give extra attention to for Calc. II? Thanks.
What else...behind the bandwagon as per usual, got to try out Battlefield 2 over at the guy's place, but there didn't seem to be many people playing online. As Tai pointed out, it could only be suspected that people are playing the "Spec. Ops" expansion. But seriously, what the hell kind of fun is a battlefield game if everyone is the same class? On a tangent note, I can't find my copy of Battlefield: 1942. Damn that's such a fun game.
Last night I had a fun time going out airsofting with Darren, Steven, Jordan, Tiffany (friend of Steven's), Julie, and Tai. We played a couple games, the second one being somewhat objective based, and ended sometime around 10:30. It was funny though, because just as we left and finished packing away our guns, the park ranger came. Talk about good timing.
On the way home after that, I decided to make a stop by the awesome donut shop that is Yum-Yum Donuts. I decided to buy a dozen just to have around, but moreso as something for my Dad to have for school in the mornings. After I selected my arsenal of sugary sweets, I found that they only took cash instead of ATM/debit. I set my wallet down on the counter and asked the cashier to wait a moment while I checked in my khakis in the trunk of my car, (was in fatigues for airsofting), but didn't find enough there. So I hopped over to the Shell across the street, got $20, and came back to claim my donuts. Before I left though, the guy said, "Hey, that was really cool how you left your wallet here, how you trusted me not to take anything from it, you know? Let me do something for you..." *Daniel has recieved a Mega Cinnamon Twist!*
That little encounter has given me an interesting perspective on the phrase "actions speak louder than words" That, and it reminded me of when I played Earth Bound for the first time, and how I put my favorite food as "DONUT". XD
Other than that, just trying to get everything set up to practice this and that day to day. As far as the present goes though, later tonight I shall be participating in festivities with Luis. =p
Ciao.
