“Does he catch the star?” -
He wasn’t in this alone.-
“I want to start a band.”-
Foolish mortals.-
Frank stared. “What did you say?”-
“You are such a romantic.”-
Bad idea if you’re immortal. -
Was no one else worried?-
Ray watched Gerard.-
How could he have?-
“You know, she has brown eyes.”-
Frank frowned, how had he known?-
Tell me, what were the dinosaurs like?-
“Eunuchs, poor bastards.” -
“Don’t I look pretty walking down the street?”-
He was straight goddamnit!-
He’d wet his pants. -
“Speak in your head sweetie.”-
Straight like a line.-
“He’s going to die.”-
“I am the original vampire after all.”-
“Don’t ask.”-
The pumpkin had Frank’s face.-
“I just can’t see my life without you.”-
“But… She hurt you.”-
Mikey was cleaning the bathroom.-
Both rounded on her. “Shut up!”-
It would take a couple of hours to grow back.-
Stupid immortals.-
“I take it yours isn’t this cool.”-
“Do you want to hear a story?”-
“Don’t call me that!”-
Ray just laughed.-
“Get the fuck out of my head.”-
“Gee, I’m sorry.”-
It slammed shut after him.-
Gerard, I love you.-
“Can you hear me?”-
“Gerard! We’re in public!”-
“What is it?”-
“Of course he’s an oddity, he’s Gerard.”-
Plan Fuck Gerard.-
“Damn Frankie, I’ve missed you.”-
Patrick just laughed.-
“Ice cream?”-
“I don’t want to lose you Frank.”-
The little arsehole drugged him!-
“Who could resist little old me?”-
It's worse than that-
Come back brain.-
“Please?” Ok, so I can't tell you how many more chapters there will be in this because I haven't written it yet, but it is coming to it's close. The sequel, which I have decided will go ahead, is called 'Your Memory Will Carry On' and will have fourteen chapters.
Also, sorry for the slight scare over Gerard's life.
Anyway, enjoy.
Mikey knocked on Ray’s door the moment after everyone had entered their assigned rooms. Ray answered as he threw a new shirt on.
“Ready?”
Ray nodded and picking up his key, signaled that Mikey should lead the way.
Mikey and Ray left for the club that they had seen when arriving at the hotel earlier that night.
Entering the club Mikey smiled at Ray and slid away from him onto the dance floor. Ray went for drinks.
It was their routine, their bonding if you will. They never stayed for long, never drank much and never really liked the loud monotonous music that was played, but they did enjoy the company and a chance to hang out as friends away from the band.
It was as they were leaving that night however, that the night took a decidedly interesting turn. Indeed on the short walk back to the hotel they bumped into Pete, chatting away happily on the phone, followed by Patrick who was sighing heavily.
“Pete! Don’t! They should discuss their issues!”
Pete rolled his eyes. “Don’t listen to him Frankie, even he doesn’t take his advice it’ that bad. Gerard’s too insecure about his weight and physical disfigurements for that approach to work. Trust the psychic!”
Mikey and Ray paused, each with an eyebrow raised and matching soft smiles.
“Okay, did he take his clothes in with him?” Pete smiled at Patrick and waved to the other two . The four men conducted a conversation in sign language which resulted in them all heading up to Mikey’s room for a drink.
“Well you need to sneak them out little one and put them far from the door, then strip and climb into bed. Don’t give in when he asks for the clothes, then let your sexy body do the rest.”
Mikey slid his key into the door as Pete smirked. “You are so.”
“Yeah huh.”
Mikey giggled, opening the fridge and pulling out four beers.
“You totally are the little one, I keep having neck problems because I try to look down into your eyes.”
Mikey snorted as he heard Frank’s loud response through the ear piece. “That’s because I’m taller than you, you moron. Honestly, you’re worse with directions than a woman, at least they know the difference between up and down.” Mikey then heard the unmistakable click signifying that Pete had been hung up on.
Ray stared at Patrick.
He’d been doing it since they had met up with the men.
“What?”
Ray coughed and looked away. “How much does Pete know?”
Patrick sighed. “Everything, Frank tattletales.”
Ray smiled slightly. “You’re flickering.”
Patrick opened his mouth, before shutting it again. “Flickering?”
Ray nodded. “You always look like everyone else, like constantly in stealth mode, but you’re flickering to look like Gee and Georgia, like a happy little immortal.” He frowned. “Pete, can you get a read on him?”
“I can never…” He paused, mid sentence, and forgetting to close his mouth and eyes wide turned to Patrick, then back to Ray, and back again, rather slowly.
Mikey tried not to giggle.
Pete stopped on Patrick. “Will you stop? It’s like I have bad reception. Stop what you’re doing!”
“I’m not doing anything!”
Pete turned back to Ray. “You got any aspirin? This is giving me a headache. Every single fucking time you start transmitting, I start concentrating and then it disappears.”
Ray stood, walking over to where Mikey kept the first aid kit. “Has this ever happened before.”
Pete’s eyes were locked with Patrick’s as Pat shook his head.
Mikey opened his mouth but his words were cut of by a nearby scream.
Beers forgotten on the table they ran into the corridor as another scream was let loose, this time definitely from Frank and Gerard’s shared room.
Mikey tried the door hurriedly, only to find it locked. Ray dug out his own key and shoved it into the keyhole. The handle turned just as Patrick was about to run for the reception.
The sight that met them, further illuminated by the light behind them, shocked them all as they all stopped.
A naked Frank, staring at smeared and drying blood on Gerard’s similarly naked back. Gerard in turn was staring into the shadows intently, seemingly unaware of the four men that had just burst into the room. Mikey however had noticed his eyes flickering over to assess the risk, before turning back to the shadows.
Mikey followed Gerard’s gaze as Brian ran in behind them. Mikey then pushed his legs into motion, throwing himself forwards in an attempt to push Frank out of the way of the knife aimed between his eyes.
Gerard couldn’t loose Frank again.
