This is where I prompt myself and try to write 5 ficlets within 60 minutes because I've been all lame and over-critical of my writing as of late.

With that said, I admit I'm a bit *too* fond of this idea as Tablo awakening the minds of Korea's various young rapping talent. :P
I find it a little difficult to live in denial about Teukie's use of vanity medicine, predebut pics are just so drastically different.
Haha, I don't know much about H.O.T (as in, I wouldn't call myself a huge fan) but I do know TonHyuk is OTP so I like to think I worked that in as well! Also why I wrote from Andy's perspective..

I want to write more Shinhwa fic because Shinhwa has the best fanservice and they're still so married after 10 years and they're just ..god, so amazing. But I guess that's one of the reasons I've not written much - they're so fantastic, how can I ever characterize them well enough? You know? Also in a way the fantastic fanservice prevents me from desiring fanfiction about them. When MinSyung is busy glomping each other here and there and Junjin is kissing Dongwan at his birthday and Eric texts the other guys that he's busy playing games with Andy, it's like ...what is there left to say? They love each other.

But basically yeah, it really does bug me that there's no Shinhwa fic on LJ and even good slash fic of the guys is megadifficult to come by outside LJ, too. Major tears and I should work harder at correctifying this.

Tonhyuk is master OTP. It makes me sad that the new boybands nowadays are more open about like, "HEY! THIS IS FANSERVICE!", but they actually do much less. I've yet to see any members of Suju or DBSK or whatever give each other matching rings to wear on their wedding fingers. >_>
XD Chaejoong sounds like Chaeyeon/Jaejoong, which I hope to God will never get written, ever.
Shinhwa are SO touchy, I love it. The card kissing game! Or just kissing straight out! I think it's amazing how close they all still are after so many years. Ricdy is such love, srsly. XD I guess that's true. They're so gay already fanfiction isn't really necessary to satisfy the inner fangirl...

I wish I knew more about H.O.T (like I didn't know that rings thing about TonHyuk, either)! But youtube really lacks H.O.T materials.. And it's so awkward asking fans, "So guys, can you fill me on why you used to like this band a lot in 1999?".. You know? Or maybe it isn't, but I feel awkward if nobody on soompi or wherever answer my n00bie questions. XD
This is why it's sort of blessed Shinhwa is still active. Most of the old stuff is available and even getting subbed and all this other fabulosity. And yes, RicDy is sooo lovely. They, JinSyung and WooDong are my favourite Shinhwa couples but Shinhwa is so OT6 I really like all of them. It's like fanservice comes natural to them nowadays.. They will kiss to tease each other and be very touchy/clingy if they're in the same room. *heart flutters*

Hahaha, I know what you mean. I actually got into H.O.T right after they broke up, so it took a while to learn about them and how the fandom worked and stuff. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about oldschool!boyband yaoi, though I'm not sure which groups you're interested in. ^^; The main ones I liked were H.O.T, Shinhwa, 1TYM, and Click-B.
Oh yes, I'm always pleasantly surprised by how much older fanservice material is up on youtube just because Shinhwa is still up and about. *__*

It seems everybody ships JunTa and TonHyuk.. So, um, what made these two the H.O.T OTPs? Also, Shinhwa had this thing with "official couples" according to the members who shared blood type (like WanDy who're both type O I think), did H.O.T have anything like this?
And the obligatory - how close are H.O.T post-break up?

Heejun was always really cuddly with Kangta, randomly hugging him or tackling him and generally babying him around. (Because Kangta cried a lot. XD) Heejun and Kangta were the two that stayed behind at SM while the other three left, and it's rumored Heejun stayed so the fans wouldn't pin all the blame on Kangta.
Tony and Woohyuk shared an apartment from 2nd album up to about 1st JTL album, I think, while the other members lived on their own. They even owned matching PJs and blankets. XD For Woohyuk's birthday one year, Tony bought him this white gold ring. For Tony's birthday the month after, Woohyuk buys him a matching ring and gives it to him in front of all their fans. They both wore the rings for a looong time (I know Woohyuk wore his on his wedding finger, but not sure about Tony), but not anymore, alas.
There's tons of cute fanvids for the two pairings out there, I'm sure.
H.O.T was known for being really aware of their yaoi fangirl following. They read a lot of yaoi fics about themselves, supposedly, and there was this official fanfiction contest for them every year that this one really famous yaoi fic won several years in a row. Apparently they acted out scenes from a couple of yaoi fics, too. And they had a lot of doujinshi written about them, too...
H.O.T never had an "official couple" thing, at least not that I'm aware of, but Junta and Tonhyuk were always the mainstream ones.
Kangta and Heejun both stayed close right after breakup because they were both in SM, while Tony, Woohyuk, and Jaewon formed JTL and were together for about two years or so. I'm pretty sure right after breakup, things were a little tense between Junta and JTL. After that, JTL went their separate ways too, and I know Heejun and Woohyuk were on a show together, and Tony and Kangta were on Xman together, and they were all really friendly and everything seemed fine. It's kinda hard to say, though, because Tony is like CEO of two companies, Woohyuk owns a dancing company, Kangta is a huge shareholder of SM, Jaewon disappears randomly to God knows where, and Heejun was in the military and just got out now, so they aren't around the music scene as often as they used to be. Plus Woohyuk just went into the military now. There hasn't been a full H.O.T reunion yet, which is a big shame.

I feel really sad that H.O.T broke up, even though I'm not a fan. But as far as I understand, it was mostly because SM was ripping them off big time? I wish they could've just done what Shinhwa did and gone with another company (not that GoodEnter is perfect).

SM was ripping Tony, Woohyuk, and Jaewon off. Heejun and Kangta were getting offered a lot more money than the other three, which understandably, would piss JTL off big time. I think it was that, by the time JTL decided to leave SM, Junta had already renewed their contracts, so they couldn't go with them. Not sure.
Shinhwa are just like... amazing unity. Ten years together. They amaze me, seriously.
