Can I just say, that was the best, least stressful weekend I think I've had since before Olivia was born? WOW! What a difference a finished degree makes! Leo graduated last Thursday, and now there's no more worry about studying and exams, so we had a nice, relaxed weekend. We didn't go to graduation on Thursday, but some of Leo's co-worker's had a celebration for him that morning, so Olivia and I went with him.
Saturday morning we picked up the graduation cake I ordered, and Saturday evening Leo, Olivia, and I went to dinner with Leo's dad and our neighbors/friends John, Fernando, Michael, and David. We had super delicious seafood out at the beach, and afterward we had cake at our place. Good company, good food, good drinks, good cake!
Yesterday I got to sleep in, and then I made biscuits and gravy for brunch. Leo went to see The Avengers with John and Fernando yesterday afternoon, and after Olivia's nap the three of us went swimming. I made tacos for dinner and we watched the Chopped All-Stars finale, which was totally ruined for me because I hate Anne Burrell.
The only downside to the weekend was Olivia's continuing runny nose and clinginess. Oh, and my scratchy throat and clogged sinuses. I guess it was only a matter of time before I got the sniffles, what with Leo and Olivia both having been sick. Urgh. I'm hoping the pot roast I have bubbling away in the crock pot for dinner tonight will go a long way to making me feel better.
