Reading Tuesdays with Morrie has really sent a jolt in to my little sheltered reality. What is the point of living if you are forgotten when you die. We are born only to die. We spend our lives doing what we think is important when in the end, none of it will matter because you don't live forever. So yes, maybe one of us will find the cure for cancer, or unlimited energy, but what then, you'll be remembered as the inventor of that, nothing more than a brief note, or maybe a whole chapter in some history book. Looking at life that way is a bad way to look at it I guess, it's just that, the only way to live is to be remembered, and what if you can't do that, what then? It's depressing to come to the realization that we're going to die, I finally grasped that a few months back and it's depressing. Well I'm done with this, I think this will be the last journal entry in a while, just like the last one. ciao
