I can't think of any films like that, but Jasper fforde's Shades of Grey series* takes place almost 500 years after "the Epiphany" that began the rebuilding from the not-yet-specified* "Something That Happened".
* I call it a series because he's promised two more books to follow the one we have, whose actual title is The Road to High Saffron.
** I'd like to know if anyone's asked fforde whether he plans to reveal the nature of the Something That Happened, and/or whether he knows it himself.
