GRSC: Roy Ashburn
After a very long dry spell I *might* be able to add another name to the list of Gay republican sex criminals. Last night California state senator Roy Ashburn (R-Bakersfield) was arrested for DUI on his way home from "Faces", a gay nightclub, with an unidentified man. This doesn't necessarily sit well with his identity a fierce opponent of gay rights, was fighting marriage equality and organizing anti-gay marriage rallies as part of his "Traditional Family Values" campaign.
In fairness, to be on the list you need to commit not just any criminal activity but a gay, sexy criminal activity, and I guess it's debatable whether "being drunk" is either particularly sexy or particularly gay, even if you did drink it at a gay bar before driving away with another guy.
