Monday and Tuesday Motorcycle Trip

Short recap of the last several days.

Monday: rode from Pahrump to Las Vegas, had breakfast at the Hash House a Go Go which was overwhelming. The individual portions come on oval serving trays. I had a very good bacon waffle, gaping_asshole had an enormous scrambled egg monstrosity. Very good but if you go you won't need to eat for 24 hours. I wish I'd tried the "fried mush" out of perverse curiosity. After breakfast we spent a few hours at the Atomic Testing Museum which is currently showing a photography exhibit which was in some ways even more interesting than the main exhibition itself, especially the supplemental information in the black binders. We got the hell out of Las Vegas, skirted the west shore of Lake Mead, took NV-169 trough the Valley of Fire State Park which was beautiful, and up to Springdale via US-15. There's a section of 15 that cuts through a canyon that was the best ride of the day.

Tuesday: Stayed in Zion Nat'l Park all day, did not ride. We did a hike up to Angels Landing, big promontory sticking out from the cliff face. 2.5 mile trail 1700 feet up - it was quite a workout. Other bumming-around-a-national-park adventures which were fun but not really noteworthy.
