But I went outside anyway because I had to mail some letters and do some laundry. On my way to the laundry room, I saw the next letter in Mysteries of the Universe Part II:
The letter "L" spray-painted on the road.
On my way back into the apartment, I ran into Mrs. Downstairs and Mary-Kate, who were just coming in from a walk around the block. We chatted about the weather and she was extremely pleasant and friendly and that's when I noticed that she is actually a gorgeous woman. My impression of her was so soured by listening to her yell all the time that any time I caught a glimpse of her, I projected some kind of ugly troll mask on her.
I went upstairs, took off my coat and threw it on the couch while I removed my boots and scarf. When I turned back to my coat to return it to the closet, it was looking back at me:
In other news, Mike finally felt the baby move last night! I am in the process of training the baby to kick on command (Remember, guys... I'm unemployed here.) When she randomly kicks, I "reward" her by pressing back and talking to her. She kicks back in response. I'm hoping to get to the stage where I can press down in a spot, start telling her to kick and have her respond by Thanksgiving. (Theoretically, this is possible according to one of my pregnancy books.) I am bringing the ultrasound photos to our 3 Thanksgivings, but Mike's wonderful grandmother Delphine is legally blind and I would love if she could feel the baby kick.
