I bought myself a new HP laptop and a Flip Ultra HD video recorder on Saturday. The video recorder will be here on Wednesday. The laptop will arrive the first week in July. No more working on an 8 year old desktop machine. YAY!

About a half an hour ago, I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, 3.01, which is supposedly a vast improvement over Firefox 2.0. So far, version 3.01 is pretty good. I haven't had it long enough to explore all the menus, etc., but I'm liking it so far.

Apple released the 3G version of the iPhone today. This is iPhone 2.0 if you will. While I would love to upgrade if I could, my cellular carrier does not currently offer the iPhone as an option. Apple signed a 2-year exclusive deal with AT&T. I don't plan on switching cell phone carriers just so that I can get an iPhone, but hopefully, by the time ( Read more... )

It's been a while since I last posted. I've been up to my eyeballs with stuff to do for work and papers to write for grad school. Other than that, I haven't been up to much. DirecTV was here and ready to install my upgraded satellite receivers when I got home from work. By 3:30, everything was done and cute installer guy was gone. I got two receivers with DVR built-in. I have a satellite system with two receivers, one that my parents use in the living room and one that I use here in the computer room. My iPod Shuffle just arrived at about 8:05 p.m. This was the second attempt at delivery for FedEx today. They came by this morning at about 11:50 a.m. but my parents were out of the house and they left one of those door tags stating that they would try the delivery again.
