- Hunter x Hunter - Chocolate by Imbrium - Eeeeeeee! YAY! Good Hunter x Hunter fic! I generally avoid the HxH section at FFNET because I've not found a lot of authors I like, but this was a gem of a little story. While you could read some yaoi into it if you wanted to, I don't think that's necessarily where it was going, and I liked it for that. Gon and Killua just... being best friends, this is quite possibly the single most canon-esque story I've seen for HxH. I could just see the fight for the chocolate between Gon and Killua, I could just see them both acting like this, and the ending line cracked me up. Oh, I love. (No warnings/pairings.)
- DCU/Justice League - Darkest Knight by Steel Magnolia - Eeeeee! Such good Bruce/Diana fic, the kind that gives me a special high that I don't get nearly enough. In addition to the gorgeous, intelligent, clever writing, what I loved about this fic is the sparkle in the interaction between the two characters. Both of them are such amazing, intelligent, witty, noble characters, both of them surprisingly complex in their own ways, and both of them were done such marvelous justice in this story. The dynamics between them were gorgeous, you could feel the chemistry and I just... god, as much as it was painful to watch sometimes, I loved that Bruce could be a bastard when he needed to be. Yet... at the same time... he could be a wonderful person, someone you can see why Diana would be so attracted to him. My favorite things in the stories were the phone conversations, all the little details from both their lives (like Steve's influence on Diana's life, Dick's influence on Bruce's, etc.)... just wonderful. I need more of this fic. +_+ (Bruce/Diana.)
- Marvel - Endure Him by Rivulet027 - This was... kinda cute, really. I liked it. I have a strong fondness for Jean-Paul and Jean-Paul/Bobby in particular, so I'm always happy to see new fic about them and always afraid that it's going to suck, because I like that what is out there for them is good. But the tradition has been upheld ^_~ and I just... liked this fic. The little details (like the way Bobby was watching TV, the BtVS thing, etc.) were very nice and the conversations between Bobby and Jean-Paul were just adorable, very chemistry-filled. I sparkle muchly. ^____^ (Northstar/Iceman.)
- Prince of Tennis - Games to Love by Kelsey - Eeeee! I'd read part of this fic on Kelsey's journal, but it was a wonderful treat to find the full fic here, because the ending made me just utterly squee from the happy MomoRyo-ness. There are two things I love about this story--one is that I can just see all of this, it's wonderfully in character and just so... MomoRyo. The second is the cleverness of all the little details, the way I would crack up at all the little things they did around/to each other (like Ryoma throwing M&Ms at Momo-chan with perfect accuracy or the details with Inui's juice XD). So... yeah, just sparkly, sparkly MomoRyo fic that makes me go, "*SQUEE!* YAY!" and fall in love all over again. (MomoRyo.)
- Hunter x Hunter - The Game's the Thing by Sosiqui - Awwww, yay! More cute Killua - Gon fic that's just... right in line with the series itself, just two boys being boys. Moments like these are why I fell in love with Hunter x Hunter in the first place, because these are such wonderful characters and I just... smiled the entire time I was reading this fic. There were some very cute moments in it, especially during the last scene where they were playing the video game and the ending was great. Gehhh, bad rec, cute fic. Go read. (No pairings/warnings.)
- Hikaru no Go - The Greatest Gift by Ritz - This story... had a sense to it that was much like the original series, though, it's one I can't quite put into words. It's something... that's almost simple, but not quite it, something that's almost charming, but that's not quite it, either. It was just this quality the series had that made me like it so much and was present in this fic, too. The author writes a wonderful Akira, little details woven into the fic beautifully, showing little character insights along the way, but without bashing the author over the head with it. And I really liked the last scene between Akira and Hikaru... though, WAHHHH!!! I wanted that following conversation! *stomps foot*huffs* (No real warnings, though, some light Akira+Hikaru if you want to see it that way.)
- Yami no Matsuei - Team Building by silvershadeus - Eeeeee! Oh, I adore this author and her writing so, so much. She is one of my favorite Yamimatsu fanfic authors and she was the one who turned me onto Tatsumi/Watari and just made me fall so hard for them. And this was... I giggled the whole way through the fic, just amused as all hell, and loved the interaction between the characters. And Tatsumi. Tatsumi. Oh, how I love Tatsumi-san, I really do. Plus! Very, very light Tatsumi - Watari interaction that I just... gehhh, I am filled with so much love that I cannot articulate it. ._. (No warnings/pairings.)
