Don't say so :/ this story is pretty realistic, also if the fact that a cute tiny boy can be such an awesome fighter is kinda forced. I guess the author just wants to focus on the inner strenght of the protagonist and his deep relationship with his master, from which he inherited not only the lethal skills, but most importantly a series of values that forged his character in an unique way.
When a guy catches a bunch of flies using his martial arts skills, or when a 12 year old beats the living crap out of a huge-ass brute, the realism goes flying out of the window. Nonetheless, it's refreshing to see a manga in such an unusual setting. :)
