Yeah, yeah, extremely lax at updating, so...
Thank whatever that 2005 is overwith. Not only was it shit for several friends, it was especially nasty to me. First the hospital stay -the one I was told that if I didn't go in `you're gonna die` one-... ain't-cha glad I listened?? Then being very sickly throughout basically the rest of the year.. which is still kinda ongoing cuz new years wasn't all that good... Oh well I'm just glad that its a new year and that I lived to see another one. Hey I got goals... in 2009 my house will be BOUGHT and PAID for, something I never thought I'd accomplish, so I just gotta be here for that day.
Anyway, x-mas was kinda moot. It was at my nieces new house. It woulda been okay cept we ate downstairs, and that wasn't good for either dad or I. Reason was is that there were like 30 steps to go up afterwards, and putzing out on a staircase just isn't fun :/ The food was bleh also. She had gotten Ravanellie's fried chicken, which would have been great if it had been bought that day, but being bought a day earlier and then reheated it was kinda yuck. Then Sis bought a ham that was mostly salt and water... don't buy Cooks. Heh, they wondered why we weren't taking any leftovers home and I hadda say because it wasn't very good. Course I also said that it had all set out longer than was safe for me, soooooo.
Anyhoo, got the DVD player I wanted... but here's the kicker, no movies :D So its still in its box until I can go buy a movie or 2. No sense in hooking it up until then. Mom made me a new pillow and blanky, and bought me a new set of long underwear (hey it does get cold here you know) :)
Got X-mas cards from Mikey and Susan *smooch* Got a new ballcap and some `walk on the ice` thingys from Mac (bluedrum)... cough ;P Art (art) sent me a Patti LaBelle CD and the book Inversion... yes that book... And while I certainly thank you for both Art, I don't quite know what to say about the book because of Eric and the way he's treated people. Eh whatever, I'll mug out to miss Patti who you know I adore ;P
So with all said I guess the very end of the year wasn't that bad, just getting there was. Here's to hoping that this year goes a little smoother. TA!
