Ignorant morons...
Is it the lack of intelligence, or sheer stupidity that certain people have opted to shoot at the people coming to help them. I know its a disaster down there, but there is no just cause to bite the hand that will save you from that mess and take you to better living conditions. I hope these idiots realize that things aren't going to go at a fast pace when they get to dry ground either, its going to take many long months, if not years to recoup and regain anything. The looting and the guns... Guess it rings true, it only takes a few dumb-asses to fuck it up for others...
Now there is even talk among some of not rebuilding New Orleans at all... and after this, they might be right not to. I somewhat tend to agree also. I mean why should they, can they rebuild the city to be any safer? I don't think so, cuz when mother nature decides to take back what is hers, man ain't gonna stop her. As a friend said `Man has NEVER built anything that mother nature can destroy if and when she wants to`. Rebuilding for historic bullshit isn't good enough, and as sad as it may seem, not doing so is an option. I know that if I lived down there, I wouldn't even think twice about going back. I'd pick up whatever I had left and leave it, and the very real chance of a repeat, all behind.
