Elba
We got back from Elba last night... strange to be on the beach in Italy in the afternoon and in Liverpool by the evening.
It was quite amazing chasing the solstice sun the whole jouney --- we left Piza at 10pm, and headed North and West, so that the sky gradually got lighter - a constant sunset for the duration of the trip.
We got the last bus to the brandnewstateofthe art train terminal near Liverpool Airport. But it got us there a minute after the last train for Manchester. So we got the last bus *from* the train, back to the airport, and got a bus to Manchester instead. Which was fine.... arriving back in Manchester 1.30am.
Clare was going to get the train back to York, but decided to stay in Manchester instead. We hadn't eaten all evening so got cheeky food from Khan's before bed...
Back into the swing of things today... hard at work and all that!
