Hey everyone:
Been a while since I last posted, so I shall update verytone with whats been goin on with me for the past week or so :) I haven't really had much time to post due to schoolwork constraints, buit its always good every so often to just do some reflective thinkin and just let loose and write away :P lol
Saturday was dedicated to taking pictures of central Ajax and northern Whitby for our geography project :) LOL I must say, I've never had so much fun taking pictures before, there are honestly some hilarious things in Ajax that we took a picture of, like a truck saying "Durham's FInest", a house fille dwith lawn ornaments and the sign "We sell jitterbugs here", a store called Afro World (Troy found that hilarious :P) and jsu other things that were incredibly random, lol :P
Sunday.....I can't even remember what happened that day, it must have sucked, lol :P
Monday was a very weird day, our law professor LITERALLLY just gave us 15 marks! No questions asked, nothing, just if you wer epresent that day in class, you were given 15 marks that contribute towards ur final mark, and that is the first time such a thing has EVER happened to me in my whole career in education, lol :P He did it to get rid of our second quiz and jus gave us all a perfect mark on that quiz to essentially negate it, but ehat really concerned me that day tho was Troy didn't show up, and thus, missed out on this outrageous offering :S I freaked out and tried to think up any way he could get there, but he had no transportation, and felt strongly aboutt he teacher being a douchebag and was persistent on not letting him get away with such BS, lol :P Well, seems like it worked, because it seems the prof is contemplating a remedy for those who didnt get the 15%, tho it might involve actual quizzes :S Oh well Troy , whatever happens happens, but whatever happens hopefully will be a positive happening :P
Tuesday was fratic stress "get-your-20%-cyberethics-essay-submitted" day, which didnt help when i realized that one of my paragraphs was the furthest thing from what i was actually supposed to be tlakin about so, for about 2 hours before it was due, frantically tired to make it work while keepin my compusre (which can be hard, lol) but thankfully I beleive I remedied the problem to the best of my abilities, and cross my fingers for the best! :) I also missed mny bus that day too cuz of strike bitchery, I honestly hat ethis freaking strike, its costing so much and in my books, it just looks liek it could have all been avoided :S
Wednesday was Cyberethics and E-Business day :) Cyberethuics was same old, same old, and was impliations of privacy, but I was half asleep durin that lecture so my notes were sporatic at best during the lecture, lol :P Also, in E-Business, even though I've only lost 2% total in that course, I was gonna refrain from pointing out that my 2nd assignment was marked incorrectly, but instead another student h ad the same problem and encouraged th eboth of us to just send him our assignments so that he could look over it, and I didnt even ask him to do that, so that was very generous of him :) What's interesting, however, was Ian's b-day celebration that night, as Ian's meal was on the house, and the waiter gav e us mopre ranch dressings than just one, and there was a special for an entire medium pizza and a pound of wings so most of us got that, and I got pretty dam full cuz I was able to eat them BOTH, but just barely :S Yeah, it was still a great night, and hope Ian had a great time :)
Thursday was geography and marketing tutorial day :P Troy got into this HUGE WoW-related convo with my friend Bernice, and they talked for half an hour about stuff I havent come across yet but hope to become knowledgeable about later on :P I just recently started playin that game again, so the more I play, the more proficient I'll be about it, lol :P The marketing tutorial was a huge waste of my time tho :P
AND finally, today me and Troy hit a seminar that we can attend for bonus marks in E-Business, earning 2% out of a possible 4% so far (you get 1% per seminar visited, cant go past 4%, lol) and after that.....oh gosh, typical Tom moment :S lol
When leaving and going down the stairs, I jumped off the third last step, and clicked my heels when i was in the air, and Troy accused me of doing quot-unquote "some Mary Tyler Moore shyt", whatever that means, lol :P But anyways, I then proceeded to do a blatantly 80's-ish pose, and hes like "ooooo, ur gonna throw ur hat into the air too with excitement, eh?" and right when i leave the door, i toss my toque into the air, but there a construction fence right when you leave the eastern doors, so when i tossed my toque, the wind took a good hold of it, and it flew over a fence into a muddy pool :( Troy laughed his ass off, LOL, and I had to go after my hat in ankle-deep mud, literally covering my shoes in mud, where at one point, the mud stole my shoe from me and I had to go get it back, lol :P Anyways, my toque was soaked and didnt wear it for the rest of the day, and my shoes are still covered in mud to this very minute :P LOL oooooo, how I still manage to amaze myself :S lol :P
After we went ot a renovated Wendy's in downtown Shwa, we hit the Whitby AMC to go see Dave Chappelle's Block Party :) For the most part, I really enjoyed it, you feel like you were a part of the block party, and it just seemed like it was such a good time :) The movie does seem at points that it is directly targeted towards a black audience, and the movie focuses more on the preparation and actual music performances more than Dave Chappelle's comedy, but the bits Chappelle did were HILARIOUS :P Overall, me and Troy enjoyed it quite a bit :) However, if I had to recommend it to anyone else, make sure you like the music thats featured on there (ie. Kanye, Mos Def, Lauren Hill and the Fugees, Dead prez (they were AWESOME)) cuz thats about half the movie right there, lol :P But yeah, Dave Chappelle was awesome, I miss his comedy :(
Finally, after that was home, I just started to do our geo assignment, read some Business Law, and type this up, where afterwards I will prolly watch "The Soup" on the E! channel (FUNNY SHOW) and then play WoW til I feel like it :P Tomorrow I'll be meetin Troy again to finsih up Marketing and Geo, perhaps Sunday as well :) Thats all for now!
