Earth Hour is over for us here. I completely missed it (because I'm at work, and this damned mall is not following it, despite the enforced blackout by the government in the majority of the mall's surrounding area) but rest assured my house and my family are fully participating at home!
Earlier today, there was a major political party campaigning (the yellow one, no. 13, you all know which one that is) and rallying in Sudirman. Caused traffic. I will say this again: I HATE PRE-ELECTION CAMPAIGNS. I bet these political parties don't even care for environmental causes. *snorts*
In slightly better news, I heard from my colleague who was a victim of the deluge yesterday. He's doing fine. He confirmed his losses - first floor of his house is completely wiped out, valuable objects in that floor is lost, his cars are badly damaged. He told me a very chilling story about how his mother almost became a casualty, but my brave friend saved her. I cried in the car on my way to work earlier after hearing this story through another colleague. I was just glad they're all save now.
And in MUCH BETTER NEWS, Kinokuniya Plaza Indonesia is having a 15% off storewide discount event. So I went there, bought six books (or was it seven) and I'm all set for a weekend full of reading.
If you don't have books to read this weekend, then do read
Pour Faire Un Choix To Make a Choice by
oldenuf2nb for
hp10k_showcase. It's so sad and yet so good and... just... wow! ♥
Still not sure about that
Rhys Ifans cast in DH movie rumor. No confirmation yet, but I'm still crossing my fingers. :(
Anyway, have a lovely weekend, F-list! Stay safe and save the Earth. :D
