Dori Newsflash, yay
Some random updates to let you guise know I'm still alive! I actually do check LJ a few times a day to read other peoples' journals, but I hardly ever comment or post an entry myself because I feel like I have nothing useful to say. Sorry 'bout that, I really do care about you people on my flist though <3 Okay, update time.
--> I'm currently working on friendslocking or deleting the few profiles/journals I have online. When looking up background info on some writers whose articles I used in my thesis I realised how important the internet has become to look up personal stuff about people and how easy it is to find out about peoples' hobbies and other private things. And if it's easy for me to find these things, it will also be very easy for future employers to check my background before hiring me. I just deleted my Myspace, which was about a hundred years old and with horrible pics from my camwhore ages. I already friendslocked my Hyvespage and this journal will be next (after 4 years of whining that'll be a hell of a job! But it will be worth it). It's a good thing I am still refusing to get a Twitter/Facebook, no need to worry about those.
--> starflux , I've been working on your haori allll day! It was a good excuse to stay inside, far away from the drama beerfest that is Queensday. I'll send you some pics when I'm not too lazy to get my camera, but the body part (+ devilspawn triangles from HELL) is done and I'm currently working on the kanji outlines. It's coming along nicely~ Also, thank you for forcing me to get back to sewing, I had almost forgotten how much I like it.
--> I have the cutest little rats EVER, but they really need to stop jumping on my laptop/desk while I'm trying to type. Imagine me writing this while trying to keep 3 rats on my lap simultaneously.Ugh, but they're just so cute!
