On writing thesises
I spent all day having the first part of my thesis torn to shreds by my professor and feverishly searching Google Scholar to find Japanese academic articles to back my statements up. It's now almost 2AM and my brain needs a break from all the intelligent smart people stuff (frame analysis! bricolage! サブカルチャーに関係する駄文!) I've been throwing at it for the past 20 hours, so please excuse me while I spam my journal with airheaded girl talk <3 and if by any chance I sound a little snobby and, howyousay, oppervlakkig, that's exactly what I was going for.
I just painted my nails with OPI's Merry Midnight which is dark purple with blue sparkles and shiny red flakes and Limited Edition and way too expensive but I can't stop staring at it. I'm gonna postpone showering and laundry and dishes for a few days to keep it on my nails for as long as possible~
Tomorrow I will wear my Seraphim jumperskirt from Alice and the Pirates (black colorway) with purple tights and curl my hair and sit inside all day reading stupid books to make me smarter so that I may one day receive a Bachelor's Degree (what is that anyway? is it papers? is it stones? can I put it in my pocket and save it for a rainy day?) so that I may continue writing thesises and have then ripped apart by other people writing their thesises, ad inf. Now I'm talking about academics again, gawd.
