Where is Horikita Maki now? A blog update!
Hi guys! So I made this blog to make a little timeline of Maki's career from the moment she announced her marriage up to this day.
So let's start to the marriage first.
She announced her marriage to an actor Yamamoto Koji on August 2015.
They first co-starred in the drama Atashinchi No Danshi way back 2009. Since then, Yamamoto Koji tried pursuing Maki. But she was elusive then.
In 2010, they worked again in a mini series Wagaya no Rekishi.They played as lovers here.
In May 2015,their 3rd project is a stage play "Arashi Ga Oka". This is were Maki really got to know Yamamoto Koji.
On August of the same year, Maki Horikita made the big announcement of registering their marriage. Maki was 26 yrs old while Yamamoto Koji was 38 yrs old.
After that, Maki continued her work as an actress and starred in a drama "Higanbana"
December 2016, it was said that Maki gave birth to their first child.
Not long after, February 2017, Maki made a sad news of her retirement from the industry and will focus on being a full time mother.
April 2019, Yamamoto Koji announced that Maki gave birth to their second child.
In the start of 2020, there have been rumors of Maki making a come back as an actress. She was said to star in a Nippon TV drama called "Mama Doctor".
And she was preparing for the sequel of her 2015 hit drama "Nobuta wo Produce" with Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya.
March 2020, her model sister, Nanami, made a TV debut appearance and when asked about her sister's comeback, she denied the rumor.
I AM STILL HOPING THAT MAKI WILL MAKE A COMEBACK. 🥺
