So, I was going through the release dates for my monthly comic shopping day and it turns out that the majority of my manga collection will be finished their N. American run in September.  That's INSANE!!

Ahhh!  Otafest is finally over...  It ended a bit later for me than probably most.  I went both days with my friend and my sister.  We spent most of the time in the vendors room.

I'm always looking for jounals on cartooning and animation, but this one is specific to anime and manga...and there are some really interesting people on the advisory board like Susan Napier (among others). *love* I put an order in for the premier issue, I'm totally stoked! Just when I think I've got my finances in order, I go and do something dumb like spend $200 on books.  Whah!  I did have a reason though.  I've got an interesting book idea that I'd like to write and thought I should carefully reread everything that's already been published in English so as to be sure that my idea is original.  Also, I'm addicted ( Read more... )
