The good news .....
.... is that my wife was discharged from hospital today. And they let her keep her gallstones; they're in a little plastic specimen bottle. Nice. :-(
What I didn't find out until today was that the patient in the next bed to my wife had a kidney failure a few hours after HER op on Monday night. She'd been chatting to visitors, had had some tea, and then collapsed. The crash team worked on her for 90 minutes before they wer able to take her to the ICU. my wife said it was like an episode of Casualty, but happening for real, right next to her. It was VERY scary.
