I am SOOOOO sick
I could really do without this right now. My wife started with this cough last week, which was really bad timing as she was due in hospital for surgery on Valentine's Day, but we thought they may postpone her operation until she was over it. Anyway, she'd recovered enough and she had the op this morning.
But I started with the same damn cough a couple of days after she did and now I can't string a sentence together without coughing. My head hurts when I cough, as does my back, and I've got that nasty, off-colour flue kinda feeling. I'm not sleeping too well because I'm either too hot, too cold, or else I wake up when I cough. I'm off work all week anyway, because I wanted to be able to go to hospital to visit my wife, and to be here to look after her for the first few days when she got home. As it is, I'm so weak I can barely look after myself.
The one consolation is that the op went ahead, because she's been waiting months for it and she'd have been really downhearted if she'd had to wait longer.
I'm going back to bed.
