So, Euro Cup 2008 is well under way, and my team is not doing as well as I would hope. Germany killed in their first game against Poland, 2 beautiful goals by Podalski, but in the second game against Croatia, they were killed. Not only that, but Bastian Schweinsteiger got a red card and will be out against their game against Austria. He would really be a great help since Podalski, who is the only person to score for Germany in the tournament, will miss the game because of an ankle injury. Two of the best players will be out, and if Germany loses the match, they are out of the tournament. Gah, they have to win. Lahm is still playing beautifully, and if he can make it upfield in the match, he might even score like in the World Cup.
My second favorite to win is the Netherlands, which I just started liking today actually. They are in the so called "Group of Death", with France, Italy, and Romania. All of these teams are real contenders for the championship, especially France and Italy. Both coming off tremendous finishes at World Cup 06, but for some reason, neither team has beaten Netherlands. Today's match was brilliant. Netherlands 4, France 1. That one goal came from France in the second quarter, and not 30 seconds later, but the Netherlands puts another one away.
So, away from Football/Soccer for a bit, and onto MY life. Boring and filled with work basically. I am finally moved into my new house that I am renting for school. It is pretty cool, actually, and I think that as soon as we get internet there I will be quite at home.
The past week has been insane with working. I worked all day Monday at Best Buy, all day Tuesday at DTE (until 1 AM), then had to go back to Best Buy on Wednesday (at 9 AM) and then go straight on to DTE at 4 PM until 1 AM. Then the next day I was back at Best Buy until 10:30. It was a long couple of days, that is for sure.
I am so tired of work right now. All I want to do is run off to Poland and watch the Euro Cup, meet me a cute German footballer, and be happy with life. Well, I probably won't post on this for another couple of days since I have to work, Germany plays on Tuesday, and then I have to work some more. But, I suppose there really isn't much for me to post up here in the first place.
