Lightning slashes through the skies overhead and I flinch at the accompanying thunder despite myself- you would think that after all we have been through I would no longer fear anything, no?
I flash a quick look at you but you are asleep, as I expected.
Even when the two of you were babies you could sleep through anything.
I always envied you that and as I see you somehow sleeping through even this storm I realise that I always will.
I return my attention to sharpening Narsil.
It shall protect you and yours forever and always.
I swear it.
