Foreboding
“What’s that over there, Mister Frodo?”
“I’m not sure, Sam.”
Aragorn’s decisive voice cut into their conversation. “It’s the old ruined fortress of Amon Sûl, Sam, also known as Weathertop. We’re making good time and if we continue at this pace we’ll be camping at its shoulders by tomorrow night.”
A cold shiver ran down Frodo’s spine at those words.
*splash*
“Pippin! I told you to look out for that clump of sedge. Here, take my hand - Whoa!”
Looking back Frodo laughed at the sight of two muddy forms pushing themselves from the muck. His unease disappeared alongside his chuckles.
