Relief coursed through him, a flood of mixed emotions… that it was over, that he hadn’t done yet, that he wanted more… Boromir gasped, finding breath again, the weight pressed against him had lifted… but he couldn’t open his eyes… not just yet. He became conscious of aching thighs, stretched muscles of back and belly… the pleasant pains of exertion. He sighed.
“Boromir?”
Théodred! Where was he? Boromir’s eyelids fluttered open, momentarily he was displaced in time - then he saw golden hair above him.
“Théodred! I thought… I… I’m not dead!”
Théodred stroked his face… “Oh yes love… We are.”
