A Training Agenda
Their sparring session had been intense, both of them were breathing hard as they returned to the fireside. Gandalf carefully glanced towards Aragorn.
“Your sovereignty is acknowledged in the North, but the South knows you not.”
“Yet, I will rule both Arnor and Gondor,” Aragorn responded. “I must go south and mingle with the people, yet be disguised. How can I both blend with them and learn how best to lead them?”
“A sell-sword would be welcomed by all. Ecthelion of Gondor requires that his men have a history of martial responsibility. Gain your reputation first under Thengel of Rohan.”
